Jessica Murphy is a seasoned media relations and strategic communications specialist, with over eight years of experience in both the private and public sectors.
She earned a degree in Communications from MacEwan University and has worked to protect and enhance the brand reputation of Canada’s federal police and various government partners across western Canada. A strategic thinker with a creative eye, Jessica has provided senior leaders with expert communications advice, consultation on emerging policies and legislation, and coached spokespersons across diverse media platforms.
Jessica has led the development of media relations and strategic communications strategies for three federal government organizations and the Alberta Public Service Communications and Engagement, supporting significant events like the Fort McMurray wildfire response in 2016 and the Cannabis legislation in 2018. In 2016, she contributed content to one of Canada’s leading e-commerce sales and marketing agencies.
In 2023, she was awarded the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Medal in Regina, SK, in recognition of her communications support for the Saskatchewan RCMP during the James Smith Cree Nation investigation.
Based in Edmonton, AB, Jessica enjoys life with her husband Josh, and their three children.
